Who I think I am

I know... quite a lot of buzz words to describe me – but I think they reflect pretty nicely who I am today. I started in the good old days back in the late 90s where we didn't have dedicated designers, engineers or what we call products today – but rather maker and shaper.
Throughout my entire journey I stayed true to this mindset and did always include areas out of my comfort zone as a designer in my work ethics. Due to this diverse background I was able to experience all the facets of the product development lifecycle and understand the importance of my role in each setting. It made me who I am today.

That said... I see myself as a multiplier – and think I am a pragmatic problem solver who enjoys creating, aligning and shaping open, transparent and collaborative cross functional teams which work closely together towards a bigger vision. I am def. not a "designer by the book".
I do believe strongly in the value of a well functioning team over highly skilled individuals. There is no "solving problems as a designer" without a strong cross functional team behind. Diversity, empowerment, passion, vision and trust are the core pillars of my principles – but it takes a lot more than that.
